Matthew Crawford, P.E., Vice President - Matt is a Licensed Professional Engineer and construction executive with more than 14 years of experience managing heavy civil, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout Pennsylvania. Matt provides leadership and oversight for project management, operations, estimating, budgeting, and business development, helping guide the company's continued growth and commitment to excellence. Combining technical engineering expertise with extensive field experience, Matt has developed a comprehensive understanding of all phases of construction. His areas of expertise include underground utility construction, site development, earthwork operations, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and auger boring. This diverse background allows him to effectively evaluate project challenges, develop practical solutions, and deliver successful outcomes for clients.
Robert Reem, Vice President - Rob began his career with Harger Utility Contractors, Inc. at the age of 18 as a laborer, bringing a strong work ethic and determination to succeed. Over the past 18 years, he has worked his way through the ranks, gaining firsthand experience in every aspect of construction operations and developing a deep understanding of the industry. Today, Rob serves as a key leader within the company, overseeing all field crews and coordinating daily operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. His extensive field experience, practical knowledge, and commitment to excellence allow him to effectively manage both personnel and project demands while maintaining the high standards that clients have come to expect from HUC.
Gavin Clukey, Vice President - Gavin has over 16 years of experience in the construction industry and has built his career through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. Beginning as a general laborer, he has worked his way through the ranks to become a Construction Superintendent, gaining valuable hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of construction operations along the way. Throughout his career, Gavin has developed extensive experience in auger boring and underground utility construction, successfully managing challenging projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. He thrives on the unique challenges that each project presents and enjoys finding practical solutions to keep work progressing efficiently.
